About 20 years ago, A truck shop I worked in started using a "blender" to filter the used oil and blend it with the fuel in the fuel tank. It worked great till we started getting the 60 series Detroit engines. Detroit stated that we couldn't do that with those engines. Thus that program went away. We did gain about 10 gallons of fuel that way every oil change however.
