Hummm...dad had to park the old M on a hillside to start it. Had to leave it in gear...the brakes were shot. Never had even fair brakes on a tractor until he got the 450D...and until I fixed them this last year they weren't the best. I do infact agree with your statement about safety OLD. But ya know...there is a difference in a farm kid growing up with a piece of iron and a city kid coming to visit. Kids that are not around this stuff all the time should not be around it unless an adult is around. Dad always took the coil wire off the M and shoved it under the pad on the seat...at least it would not start if it rolled.
