Broke? Well thats relative. I suspect just treading water right now. I did read a interesting article in the papper last weekend. The stats they use for gas usage is geared for those who live in or near cities. $3 gas is a inconvinence to them. They dont drive as much so maybe they will spend a couple hundred more bucks a year on gas. Rural people are getting the long shaft of the gas prices and they usaully have bigger vehicles to boot. Some are paying 2 or 3 hundred extra dollars a month in gas. Maybe more. That will take a bite out of your wallet real fast. My self we are ok for now. Wife drives 2 mi to work so no big deal there. I drive about 200 mi day for my work but have a company vehicle and they pay the gas. Thats ok for now, but I cant see them taking it in the shorts for ever. Our work volume is down 20 percent. No one is building new houses this year. And we hired hard off of last years numbers adding 10 percent. Some things gona give soon.
