Mike, Im an Electrical instead of a Mechanical or Fluid Mechanics Engineer but I tend to agree with the post above. When it comes to energy and so called "improved performance" theres usually some sort of engineering trade off taking place. In the air filters if they offer less restriction to the flow of air that tells me they must let bigger particles through i.e. filter less. I have used them and couldnt see any difference in MPG or performance and may even use them again but my engineering brain and the principles of physics keep tellin me theres gotta be a trade off if they are less restrictive to air flow. If someone can explain how they let more air through but filter the same as the regular filters, Im allllll ears and open minded.
