Yep, and I've seen pictures of prototype 3010/4010's that had V-4 & V-6 engines with the heads & valve covers sticking out from underneath the hoods... "What was Deere Thinking!?!?!" Plus the uneven power pulses of the 2-cyl. engines were not only hard on powered implements but hard on the engines themselves. The old 2-cyl. were loud, vibrated badly, not smooth at all...but they would stetch a gallon of fuel quite a ways....Seems like Dad always had one of them sitting around in the way but I'd do about ANYTHING to keep from having to run them. My personal definition of "Patience and Persistence" is rotary hoeing 80 acres of corn with a JD 60 pulling a 6-30 rotary hoe only running in 3rd. & 4th gear....By the time I was done my hands & feet were numb, head was throbbing so bad I couldn't focus My eyes....
