I own a 1967 SS12 with an oddball engine. Most techumseh engines from this year have solid - state ignition with a magneno, but mine has points that run off the battery. Also, the decal on the engine's schroud says: extra long life engine replacable bearings chrome compression ring mechanical governer stellite exhaust valve then there's another decal that says: super start patent pending Normally that decal says: craftsman cast iron extra long life engine solid state ignition super start compression release fly ball type governer heavy 1 1/8 dai crankshaft stellite surfaced exhaust valve and seat timken bearing equipped If anyone knows anything about this engine tell me. I would greatly apreciate it.
