What I like about border collies is their intelligence and optimism. I wonder if keeping squirrels out of a grove of black walnuts would be a sufficient challenge for a collie? I've been doing the Elmer Fudd bit ever since I planted eight acres of seeds last fall. I suspect a male border might fill the bill on the property when the spaniel passes on. If the dog is smart enough to train my wife to accept him, he'll be in clover. Thanks for the advice. Rod
