I'm an ex-cop and had a fellow officer murdered while on duty. Long story short we named a street after him. To this day I cannot go by that street without tears in my eyes. Also, I'm not a real religious guy but the following seems to apply in this case: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13).
