Tis unfortunate how the weather behaves -- We just got 1/2" in 45 minutes at my house in Connecticut (most of that in the 10 minutes...just after I threw dinner on the grill...had to make supper in my super-duper Carhart rain gear :) )...still showering. Had a 2 month extremely dry spell in March & April, and since then the heavens have opened up. And the weather pattern favors shooting tropical storms & hurricanes up the coast at us this year...so lord knows where the final totals will fall!
