Hello! I see from another post that you are in good ol KY? I work in Louisville and live @ 10 miles from My Old Kentucky Home.

Got 2 more pistons out - a friend of mine at work cut a socket in half, and with much determination, I was able to break 2 more rascals free and remove 3 & 4. #3 was really stuck and was much harder to remove than 1 & 4.

#2 will be a trick as I don't think the halfer will work for that one - we'll see this afternoon.

I felt around and it seems that the lifters are in place and not blocking the cam - when I get #2 out - jog the starter? Is the only way to remove lifters by tearing down the front?
