How do these tractors compare?

I need to buy a 40-50 horse tractor for general use like brush hogging, disking, etc. I have been looking at old Massey tractors like the 150, 165, 245, etc. How do the same vintage John Deere and Ford tractors compare? Like the 2040, 2240, 2440, JDs or the Ford 3000 series? The only tractor I am currently familiar with is a MF135 that I have borrowed. Thanks for the opinions....
