The sad part is, if we (meaning our club) doesn't show, that will give them the perfect excuse to do away with the old tractors section of the show, the board of directors for the field days is leaning towards it and have been for the last few years. They are concentrating more on ATV mud racing, pickup truck pull, and farm pull, gambling, and the beer tent. Word is they want to get rid of the old tractors/engines and the cattle part of it, since they can't see where that makes them much money. It used to be a really nice family event, but they are getting away from that more and more in attempts at making more money, especially since the cost of everything is going up and I understand that, but I feel it is wrong to stick it to their exhibitors, if I go like I usually do, it's going to cost me $72 in tickets for 3 of us, and $75 our camper, plus the cost of hauling tractors, thats a good chunk of change, it's going to cost me around $200 this year.
