Have you considered the owner of the busses had to be paid, along with his drivers and insurance. that can amount to a pretyt big bill. The bus company may have told the club they would provide the transporttion for the per head charge and were doing it themselves. I have been to shows where the exhibitors got free passes, which was great. I have also been to shows where the admission was free, but exhibitor paid $20 each. This last was due to the fact that the only place to have the show was a city park that was not fenced, and there was no way to control admission, and the security guard,. liability, etc. had to be paid someway. Liability for even a small show runs in the 5k to 10k range now. It isn't the clubs that are making the money.
