I don't have your answer but wanted to add that watching binders
work is pretty neat I think. Having used a sythe to trim around
buildings and such, I can imagine that the first time the old
farmers saw a binder work they must have thought they had died
and gone to heaven. Imagine staring five, ten maybe twenty acres
of ripe wheat in the face on a hot july day with a sythe in your
hand! The binder must have seemed like the pinnacle of
mechanized farming.
