Hi Allan; What a lovely combine. We used to get Allis Gleaner A & C models here. I drove one for a contractor for a few seasons in the late 1960's & early 1970's; great to operate and Allis's had a good reputation especially for grass seed harvesting. Those models had the concave (drum) set at the bottom of the primary elevator immediately behind the auger. Any stones dropped straight through and a buzzer on the deck sounded. Also this would trip when the dew came down in the evening which was a sign that it was time for a well earned beer, the moisture was too high to continue combining for that day. Have these mdern Allis's got that feature? The last Allis's were the model 5000 built in England in the mid-1970's. The winter sown barley & rape has really yellowed up in the past few days, wont be long before the harvest teams start in this area of England, and the tractors & 14 ton trailers are tearing up and down the lanes. Trust your harvest goes well. Cheers David
