Also think of it this way, if you plow it you then have to disc it and the drag it and still seed it. If all you do is disc it real real good and then seed it you save 2 steps and a lot of $$$ if fuel saveings and now days that in its self could be enough $$ to pay for the seed and the rent on the seeder/drill which ever you want to call it. My self I keep improveing my hay ground by adding more clover seed to it every winter and when I'm lucky I snow seed it but the last few years we haven't had enough snow to do it that way.
