I don't think that is a good idea.
Unless you have a tractor that is designed to pull with the front end, you run the risk of breaking it in half. Especially on older tractors that use the engine as part of the frame. Most tractors came with a sticker that read "Attach to drawbar only", or "Pull with drawbar only", or some words to that effect.
There is more than one reason for that warning.
