I do believe that you're correct about traps attracting beetles from a gazillion miles away. I know of a fella that's the grounds keeper/maintenance guy for a place that sprawls over a few acres or so. I'll bet he has a good 50 traps, can empty them daily, and the next morning they're nearly busting the seams. I've seen beetles, but nothing like that...year after year. If I were him, I think I'd cut that out. This past weekend was working the race in Joliet, and noticed something too. Year after year, if go up to the roof where the camera guys setup, get dive bombed by them beetles. Same thing every year, but once get down by the track or ground levels, there aren't so many. Must be something about them Sony cameras or camera guys that turns them beetles into kamikazie pilots. Mark
