Yup, you got lucky with that manure spreader... A few years ago i was hauling ,manure in a rough feild and the pin came out while I was turning at the end of the feild with the pto running. The shaft pulled out, swung around hitting the drawbar, and snubbed the tractor instantly. I found the pin and drilled a hole for a hairpin, but they always seem to get pulled out some how, so I don't use them unless pulling wagons down the road and a few other times.
