Part of this is answered by that thing has a pto rpm hour meter if I recall correctly. It was probably idled around doing loader work. Never run at pto speed all day dragging haying equipment. My 2003 kubota has a straight hour meter and due to that I pile up hours on it. I'm a part time farmer and haying a couple of thousand small squarea and building a house last year put 250 hours on it. The ih 584 before that with the mech pto hour meter would rack up half the hours or less since I didn't rev it up much doing loader work.
