Your first mistake is getting my addy incorrect. Your second one is assuming that there are fumes in an empty tank. Not necessarily so. If you check the archives you will find similar recommendations regarding fuel tanks- so bellyache to all of them as well. Ask the pro's- they might tell you the same thing about fixing a leak, like I did on a '37 Allis WC- per 'their' advice- connect the tank to an air compressor, pump air through it while soldering a bad seam. wc-
