A properly used maintenance free battery should provide good service. Batteries only lose water when you over charge them or charge too fast. Heck, the batteries with caps on them on our 2590 Case finally gave up the ghost this spring -- only 7 years after they were put in. Not to mention the maintenance free battery that came from the factory in my Dad's 98 F-150 is still going strong as well.
