You are correct in-too-deep, the plug you have to put in is in the end cab, you understand what I am talking about. You guys cannot see the plug unless you take the end off the tractors remotes. You plumb the hoses the same way fromt the outside, it is just that plug that blocks the flow and forces the oil out toward the loader valve. Without this plug the oil will still flow to the loader controls, but it will not have pressure. I went through the same thing with the 684 earlier this year. I really dont remember what hole gets plugged. I want to say it is the bottom hole away from where the hose hooks on, but I cant say for sure. There is a part number for the endcap with the plug in it, I would think the CIH dealer could bring up a picture of it and tell you what hole you need to plug. I bought my endcap with the plug in it from Hoober INC. in PA. Maybe they can tell you if you call them. www.hoober.com Good luck.
