Just like brands of tractors, different strokes for different folks... But, some time ago my brother and i looked at most if not all of the UV's and ended up with a Diesel Mule. Second runner up today would be the Kubota. (More on that later) The diesel mule to me seems to be best for a "work" vehicle, and the Rhino would be my choise for a "play" vehicle. The diesel in the Mule is made by Diahasu and is a proven diesel on par with the Kubota's... Tons of these engines are sold by B&S and used in all kinds of aplications. The Mules belt drive does NOT have problems and it's NEVER slipped or acted up in anyway, and with near 500 hours on the origional belt i'd say if there was problems it would have shown up by now. Lately i've been toying with the idea of getting a UV for my place, and i've once again looked at them all with work in mind. I'm still convinced the diesel Mule is the one for me, and the Kubota comes in second. I just don't like the way the Kubota feels when you decelerate through the hystat, i also don't like the 3 speed sub tranny... The Mule works perfectly with a hi-lo and it's still my first choise in a work UV. BTW, i didn't pick the Ranger because of Polaris' spotty reliability that just doesn't seem to go away. Personally i'm not going to take a chance on one, as we keep all of our tools for many years, and the Polaris' around here cost too much to own when they get older. Robert

You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o
