I take it this is a newer working tractor? I remove most SN tags on the old tractors I restore. When I sell the tractor I give the buyer the tag and they can decide if they want to use the original or get a new good looking repo tag. I know several that have just put the tag in a safe place to keep . As they said sometimes the tag is worth more than the tractor and after hearing stories about someone having their tag stolen at a show.Its just safer that way
