I agree w JMS. I use a liquid called Os Pho. It eliminates the rust, rinse it. Let it dry, then use a tank liner Red Coat from O"Reillys parts. A quart runs about $20, but enuf to do 2 or 3 tanks. I have done all my tractor tanks w/this stuff. So far, after 4yrs, no rust in the sed bowl or carb. Gas is so expensive, have to save every drop....... Good Luck
