Like the others said, with that many miles on the 'ol gal, the rings are most likely worn out. The beauty of those old FE engines is that you could slip in a new set of rings, replace the rod and main bearings, grind the valves, and she's probably good for another 100,000. If you need a good used 360 engine, send me an e-mail.
