Not much you can do to slow the old H down. IF you get your hands on low, 1st gear set that would be the way to go. When I was out in California this spring I spotted a few H's and M's at the salvage yard with a 4 speed truck transmissions in the area of the hydraulic belly pump...The salvage yard owner says lots of H's and M's were converted out there for vegetable field work.. The casting inbetween the engine and the transmission was removed, and it was replaced by heavy plate (1" thick) bracketry to hold the auxilary transmission and two halfs of the tractor together...
