The wife has a horse and pony, and we live on 5 acres and make hay on another 20 acres a ways up the road. Our Massy Ferguson MH50 has served us well for 15 years now. We mow and bale with it, and it plowed a lot of snow when we lived up in northern Minnesota. A Massey 35 would probably have done as well, since they are pretty much the same deal. They have 32 PTO hp, live PTO, 3 pt hitch and parts can still be gotten fairly easily. There are merits to putting a 3 point hitch on something that didn't come with it, but by the time that's done with it still might wind up costing nearly as much. And a Massey (or Ford) is always easy to sell. I never have cared for sitting any higher up on a tractor than I had to, either. When I was growing up in Wisconsin, it seemed like somebody was always getting killed rolling Farmall or Deere tricycles.
