I'm on the verge of possibly making a deal on equipment for the Christian camp where I work. We own an IH 454 gas loader and it does the lion's share of the work (mowing, loader, grading) The old girl is gettin' tired. We also have an International 500 Bulldozer that hasn't been used in 3 years but starts and runs excellent. It's got a 3 cyl. diesel and 7 ft. 6-way blade. I talked to our tree-trimmer-guy and he has a deal for me. He wants to trade us the dozer and the 454 loader tractor for an IH 584 diesel loader tractor. It has only 1600 original hours, loader with quick-tatch bucket, 3-point, remote hyd., etc. I haven't seen it yet, but he says it's a sweet-runnin' tractor. My instict tells me he's gettin a better deal than I want to give him. I'd like to ask for another $1000, or a nice 6 ft. brush hog to go with. I know I don't have many details, but does anyone have an opinion of this deal? To recap, tired IH 454 gasser and International dozer traded for a low-hours IH 584 diesel, possibly more to boot. Any ideas? Thanks folks.

The need for fabricating becomes obvious when you go to buy any of these
