Grew up on a Farmall M and a M-H 44. Both comparable and great tractors. The 44 had a faster fourth gear than the M so I liked to rake with it. But, it also had live pto so it was more handy to bale with than the M. Seat on the 44 was more comfortable. The M had a touch more traction. No stock 44 ever had 63 horsepower. Now you've got me thinking of the good old days. Golly, I sure plowed a lot of ground on that 44 with a 3X plow and at night, the fire would shoot right up out of that muffler. Great times in the past with two great tractors.
