I can put 20 bales per tier on the trailer. I've had it as high as 3 tiers so that would make 60 bales. Last night I put 34 bales on the '69 Dodge flatbed and 50 on the trailer. Heavy load! The Dodge will do it, but not very fast!

I never plug the 542 but I do miss a few ties. If I were doing the amount of acreage you're doing I'd look closer into it and fix the problem. As it is, I just stop and use a pitchfork to move the broken bales over to the nearest unbaled windrow, then keep going. I think my billhooks are about worn out. They have a nice hourglass shape to them.
