I will assume this is negative ground. You should have a thick cable going from negative on the battery to ground. You should have a thick cable going from positive on the battery to the starter solenoid and a thinner wire(s) going from positive on the battery to the wiring harness and eventually to the key switch, lights, etc. If you have a key switch to turn with no key, look at the number of terminals on the back of the switch and find a replacement that is similar. You may be able to replace it with a simple toggle switch on/off for power to the wiring harness and a push button for the starter.
