One advantage of the wide front is that you can get rid of all the heavy cast support needed for a narrow front.. the axle can be supported by the frame.. rather than the the cast steering components.. (custom built wide fronts)
Its all about movable weight.. being able to move the weight to where it is needed... Each track.. and each sled will pull different..
