You need to find out what fittings you have. The cylinder might have NPT thread, or O-ring boss (ORB). Your hoses could be NPT, ORB, or JIC, none of which will interchange properly. At a guess, I'd say you put an ORB fitting into a NPT hole. If you don't know what's what, take the whole mess with you to somebody that does. It's not easy to explain the differences between thos fittings without looking. HTH. Rod
