Don, sure you can leave them attached, but in my opinions its BEST NOT TO. My reasons are: (1) Theres a possibility for some small trickle discharge to take place with the amount dependant on the type and design of your particular charger. (2) Although it may be minimal, with leads left attached there could be an occasion for an accidental shorting which could be hazardous under certain circumstances. I would remove the charger leads just to be safe and theres no possibility of any trickle discharge that way. John T Retired Electrical Engineer
