Since my "glorious" return to the states, I've been blessed with my M misbehaving. I ended up having to install an inline fuel filter and I took the carb all apart and cleaned it to Presidental cleanliness specifications (except, without the stain, did _I_ type that?) Anyway, my dear father felt compelled to dink around with the carb screws (idle, etc..) and now it runs just great until I put a load on it and let the clutch out, it dies in those instances. So what's a fella supposed to do in these cases? Well I suppose he could dig through his room and find his I&T manual that he put away somewhere six months ago, he could take the carb into his own loving hands and stab in the dark until he gets it right, or he could ask, "Is there a basic ground rule for setting your carb adjustment on a Farmall M?"
