I don't think you have a problem with "erratic pressures" because you are consistently getting the same pressure history. Assuming you are using the right motor oil,y our problem is most likely wear. I used to have a 435 with plenty of hours on it but an unknown history. It had an oil pressure gauge mounted in the line going into the oil filter. It was one of those non-numbered gauges but it never went below the middle of the gauge. I think you need to consider replaceing the mains and the rod bearings. They're probably badly worn.
