Thanks for the reply, I did not rebuild this engine. I just purchased the tractor and was told that it ran. I could not get it to start, until I rebuilt the Magneto and put some LPG into it. Yes a 1943 H with LPG setup on it that does not look as if it would work.

So much to my surprise when I reinstalled the Magneto and turned the gas on it started. It did blow some smoke out at first and there was some ticking noise (sounded like lifters on a car engine) but that went away rather quickly. It was not until I put it into gear that it just simply died. Almost like it just ran out of gas. That is when I tried to restart it and found that nothing was turning. I removed starter and tried rocking it, but still nothing. Not sure what to do next. Spent more money than I should have but that is the chance you take,
