If you can tell us what tractor and equipment you're thinking of mating together, we can give more specific answers. Here are general guidelines. Some (non-pto driven) attachments are designed to be used on 0 or 1 just by changing pins and/or bushings. Examples: very light rear blades, carriers, cultivators, etc. PTO drives are radically different, hence not adaptable. Cat. 0 PTO is female multi-spline 2,000 rpm and standard Cat. 1 PTO is male 6-spline 540 rpm. Cat. 1 spacing between rear arms is approx. 26" and Cat. 0 spacing is approx. 20". Distance between lower pin centers and upper pin center is also significantly shorter on Cat. 0 or 0/1 attachments than on std. Cat. 1. I hope this is helpful.
