Reminds me of '88 drouth- couldn't fill three 16 foot chopper boxes on a forty acre field. Normal fill was 3-4 quarter-mile windrows behind a 14 foot swather. We raked that 40 - put five rounds on a windrow because beyond that, we lost more behind the rake than what we gained. Neighbor chopping corn silage said he changed boxes for two reasons- got tired of looking at the green one when he could be pulling a red, or the box was starting to heat, he pulled it around for so long.
