I had a Super A with a 60" mower and it left a lot to be desired. 55 years ago, it was the ne plus ultra.....but I was surprized at how slow it was, how much power it lacked and so forth. Yes, it was in good shape, good tune, etc. but an 18 hp tractor will only do so much and the Cub makes about 12 hp. However, if you like piddling along and taking all day to mow and contemplate life from the seat of a Cub....I'd suggest no more than a 48" mower and a 42".....like the originals, is probably better.
