Yes, my batwing requires at least 69 horse and it is a finish mower. These often takes more power than a bush hog. My new batwing killed my 1080 and I would like to get anything from 80 to 120 in hopes of an even bigger mower in the future. Mowing deck companies always list the absolute minimum hp needed in order to sell more decks. I am sure 90 or 100 hp would be better than 80. I also need something with enough hydraulic connections to work the batwing and a lift.
