Near everything will increase in size when heated and unrestrained. Gases the most. If they are contained at the same size, pressure must increase instead.
Nothing different with a tractor engine, gearbox or whatever. So it should be vented to atmosphere. If not, the pressure will eventually vent itself - through the seals. Also with your tractor hydraulics you may just be letting a large quantity of fluid back in there from hydraulic cylinders as well.
