Dont let them do anything you dont have to. We have some swampy areas on our farm. Two interns knocked on my parents door and asked if they could "look for turtles". We said no. It turns out they were looking for endangered bog turtles. If they find any they put it in a database and it limits what you can do with that area. I had to get a permit to replace a bridge on our farm lane and the NRCS man ran a report to make sure they hadnt found bog turtles in that area. They hadnt since we didnt let them on the land...
