Well, the medical industry is set up primarily as just a money machine. They have an assured recession-proof market as people are always getting sick and injured. With money making as the primary object, mistakes like that are just statistics to them. The medical industry wants to keep you at a carefully calibrated level of sickness, so as to maximize the money vacuumed out of your wallet. If they cure you, they get no more money from you and if you die, the same thing. So they try to keep you at a certain level of illness. They are not all that way, some of them are genuine healers, but these are in the minority.
