What do you think my chances are?

Sometime soon, I want to try to track down my grandfather's tractor. It was a John Deere 730 Standard Diesel. It had electric start, non-adjustable front axle, and no rockshaft. It was sold out of our family 10 or 20 years ago, in southern Alberta. I don't think anybody knows the serial number of it. Does anybody know how many tractors were built like this? Realistically, do I stand any chance of finding this tractor again? Lyndon
