Thanks John- I have the big shop manual on the 1010 and will take a look in the wiring diagram for a resistor. I recall taking a switch apart and repairing it and seeing the resitance wire, but that may have been a different tractor. As long as I have your ear I'll bend it a little- As I understand it a good condensor should have the needle peg then return to zero when tested for resistance and a bad one will just peg, correct?
