Well, I don't know what has been going on behind the scene in the past but my first thought is that stepdad is being very irresponsible and not wanting to admit he screwed up. My daughter used to work at the front desk at an insurance office, taking claims, and she said if you run into something whether it be going forward or backward, you are at fault! Good luck. Jim
