My buddy used to have a Chevette Diesel, it was hard
to start and not quick at all, but it got great mileage (50+
)and was extremely fast, it just took a long time to get to
speed. They also made a Tempo diesel and Toyota
had a diesel pickup for a few years. I think the common
thing in them is that they were all Isuzu diesel engines,
even the toyota.
I don't know why the Liberty does not get better mileage
on the diesel, only gets a few miles more than the gas
version.
